Grouping of three vintage dark BLUE textile mill spindles - measuring 8.5" to 8.75" tall with a round base about .75" in diameter - perfect for Christmas decorating or to surprise a friend as a gift! As you can tell from the first picture, some still have remnants of thread wrapped around them and others have signs of another color paint under the blue. How charming! These will come to you wrapped in a pretty Christmas bow. I have four groupings of this size & color available (12 total).  I also have a number of other different styles and close to 75 spindles, spools, or bobbins, whatever YOUR name is for them. These were used in the textile mills of the Southeast & Northeast until sometime in the late 1940's or early 1950's and are now wonderful collector's items. They have so many fun uses such as in a basket of colorful wool yarn balls or the larger ones (listed VERY soon) can be turned into a candle stick or simply gathered with a vintage ribbon or a strip of gingham tied around them.
