This gorgeous gilded vintage box was 'hand made in Italy as a Decorative Craft', as stated on the bottom of the piece. The colors are simply exquisite! It has a lovely floral design painted on the top and an intricate design on all the sides. Except for the top, it is gilded all over, including the bottom. where the design is simpler, but still quite lovely. This piece has been in my family for at least 30 years.

 

Measuring 9-1/2"x 6-1/2"x 2-1/2" it would be wonderful to have on your dresser with the pieces of jewelry in it which you wear often. Picture #2 is of the inside. There are no dividers to make compartments, so it could also be used for papers or photos. Other than a few small and insignificant nicks and scratches, there are no big issues. Actually, they add to the charm of such a wonderful piece.
